What is Flashback?
Flashback is a computer demoscene hosted once a year in Sydney Australia.
Hackers turn up on the day and present their creations, such as realtime graphics running on old and new computers, homebrew hardware, pre-rendered animations, graphics and music.
The word "demoparty" is globally used to describe this gathering of coders, musicians, graphic artists and creative minds under one roof which share their work with others.
Small prizes are given to the coolest "demo" which is voted for by you on the day. The entry with the most votes, wins.
If you love computers, new and old, you'll enjoy Flashback, so be sure to register.
When is the demoscene?
Flashback 2014 opens it's doors on Saturday (the 8th), Sunday (the 9th) and Monday (the 10th) of June over the long weekend in the Sydney CBD.
What was last year like?
